My 5 year-old loves my spaghetti Bolognese with meat balls so much, he asked it to be the menu for his birthday party. Spaghetti Bolognese is not only all-time favourite by many, it is also a powerful cold-prevention immunity booster #Remipe. Here is why:
· Beef is a good source of zinc, and zinc is important in the development of the white blood cells that defend your body. Your immune function and response decrease if you have a zinc deficiency.
· Carrots and tomatoes are high in beta carotene that is converted to vitamin A in your body. Vitamin A plays a key role in maintaining skin health and skin is the biggest part of your immune system that keeps infections from entering your body.
· Garlic contains allicin, the major active component that is highly antimicrobial and antibacterial. Use them in a generous amount – it protects you as well as making the dish delicious.
A few tips to share to enhance the flavour of the pasta: add chopped rosemary to the sauce and season it with Worcestershire sauce. It takes the dish to the next level with the added depth of fragrance.
